As of 2 November, the 600,000-tonne methanol phase I plant and the 800,000-tonne methanol phase II plant of CNOOC Fudao Limited (“CNOOC Fudao”), the Hainan base of China BlueChemical, realize safe and long-cycle continuous operation of 560 days and 440 days, which have both broken their respective long-cycle operation records since their operation. In particular, apart from planned suspension, the 600,000-tonne methanol plant has realized the record of non-stop operation for over four consecutive years for the first time.

To ensure long-cycle operation of both two plants, CNOOC Fudao insists on the management and control concept of integrating safe production into its plants. CNOOC Fudao adopts various meticulous management measures such as stringent safe production and management, dedication to optimized production and operation as well as in-depth hazard checks for operating equipment. Such efforts create sound conditions for the safe, stable, long-term, full-capacity and optimized operation of production plants.
