On January 13, Hou Xiaofeng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee, CEO and President of China BlueChemical, met with Jenny Wang, Senior Vice President of Mosaic, Chen Ming, General Manager of Mosaic China, and Wang Ying, Senior Manager of the Procurement Supply Chain. The two sides held talks, accompanied by Lian Xueqiang, Secretary of the CPC Committee and General Manager of the CNOOC Fudao Marketing Ltd.

Headquartered in Canada, Mosaic is the world's largest integrated supplier of potash and phosphate fertilizers. It has a production capacity of 10.5 million tons of potash, accounting for 9.9% of global production capacity, and 11 million tons of phosphate, accounting for 10.1% of global production capacity. Mosaic China is a long-term cooperative customer of China BlueChemical for urea and diammonium phosphate. In 2022, in order to further strengthen the access to potash resources and bring into play product synergies, the marketing company and Mosaic China entered into a strategic cooperation to carry out all-round cooperation in the import and sale of potash and supply of urea and phosphate fertilizer products.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the long history of cooperation between the two companies and communicated and exchanged ideas on future cooperation intentions. Hou Xiaofeng said that there is a wide range of cooperation between Mosaic and China BlueChemical, and he hoped that both sides could carry out comprehensive cooperation in nitrogen, phosphate, potash, compound fertilizers and new fertilizers in the future, so as to give full play to corporate social responsibility and make contribution to maintaining national food security and protecting farmers' interests.
