On 31 August 2010, Mr. Wei Liucheng, Secretary of Hainan Provincial Committee and Director of Standing Committee of Provincial People’s Congress paid a visit to the Hainan Base of China BlueChem Ltd. (hereafter known as “China BlueChem”), accompanied by the officers from the relevant functional departments such as Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Provincial Department of Construction and the municipal committee and municipal government of Dongfang City. During the visit, Mr.Wei Liucheng and the others first paid a visit to the construction site of the 800 thousand tons methanol project of China BlueChem which is currently under serious construction, and subsequently listened to the working report from Mr. Yang Yexin, CEO of China BlueChem, in respect of the production operation, project investment and energy savings of China BlueChem’s Hainan Base in recent years.China BlueChem’s positive contributions to the rapid social and economic development of Hainan had won Mr. Wei Liucheng’s high acclaim. He recognized China BlueChem’s efforts in forging broad cooperation with Hainan in order to enhance industrial planning and optimize industrial chain, in pursuit of the ideology of win-win development by establishing an all-round industrial mechanism. He said that Hainan Provincial Committee and provincial government would continue to provide quality services and strong support to China BlueChem’s construction project investments in Hainan.
