In November 2010, POM A-line of CNOOC Tianye Chemical Limited (Tianye Chemical) has successfully produced the qualified POM pellets products, marking the successful commission of the POM project on the very first trial.The technical process for POM is long and its technology involved is complicated, all kinds of products produced in the manufacturing process require high purity, and it is extremely demanding over the requirements of the technical condition. On 25th October 2010, upon the official commencement of the trial run for the commission of the A-line for the main plant of the POM project, the whole crew engaged in the trial run has been working day and night, and overcame each and every difficulty such as trial run in winter, shortage of staff and inadequate experience. They seriously deliberated and operated the data. All these ensured the safe and stable operation of the plant and a successful commission.According to the project design, the lead time from the trial run for commission to the production of qualified products is around three months, while the A-line only required 25 days to produce the qualified pellets products, marking the very first record among the domestic peers.
