On 20 November, Yang Zeyong, the leader of the full time firefighting team of CNOOC Fudao Limited under China BlueChemical Ltd., was awarded the 4^th National 119 Firefighting Advanced Individual Award. Assessed and conferred by the Ministry of Emergency Management of the PRC every two years since its establishment in 2012, the National 119 Firefighting Award recognizes entities and individuals with outstanding performance in the firefighting field.

Previously, Li Gang, a young employee of CNOOC Huahe Coal Chemical Ltd., was conferred the bronze award in the individual contest for maintenance electricians in 2018 China Skills Competition. 20 teams from Sinopec and CNOOC comprising 100 contestants participated in contests for both offshore oil and gas operators and maintenance electricians in 2018 China Skills Competition, which is the national qualifier for the 45^th Worldskills Competition.
